This is Ben Savage, who works at Children’s HopeChest. He was the leader of my recent trip to Guatemala and Haiti, and he has a lot of “personality.” Hanging out with Ben was some of the most fun I’ve had in a long time. Ben has such a heart for the Lord and for orphans.

This is Gabby. She is a orphan in Guatemala City, and she needs a sponsor. Children’s HopeChest is working to find communities in America to sponsor orphanages in Guatemala so beautiful little girls like Gabby can be sponsored, which would make a big difference in her life.

I’m back home from a mission trip to Guatemala and Haiti with Children’s HopeChest. It was a fantastic trip, and I’ll be sharing many photographs, videos and stories from the trip here on this blog. The work HopeChest does with orphans around the world is awesome.

This is a young girl in the remote village of Fond Blanc in Haiti, where HopeChest sponsors an orphanage. It felt like National Geographic as I walked around the village and met many of the nationals. Again and again I was surprised how friendly and open the Haitians were once you smiled or waived.
